1. Decide where you want to place the hoop. You will need a level spot that is at least 10 feet wide and 14 feet deep. If you have a driveway, that is usually a good spot. Avoid any areas with underground utilities or other potential hazards.

2. Purchase your hoop. There are many different types and brands of in-ground hoops available on the market. Do your research to find the one that best meets your needs and budget.

3. Gather your supplies. In addition to the hoop itself, you will need concrete, a shovel, a level, and some form of support (such as rebar) to keep the pole from tipping over while the concrete sets.
